I found Dr Johnson through my insurance provider as a the only one local to my area had terrible reviews. It was worth the hour drive from Taneytown to Columbia. The office was very bright and clean. The staff was friendly. I had a tongue biopsy which is not the most exciting thing to look forward to but I did not feel any pain during the procedure and the local anesthetic lasted my hour car ride back home. The after care instructions were detailed and easy to follow. I was provided with plenty of gauze. Only 1 stitch came undone. Overall if I had to do this procedure again I am comfortable knowing it will go smoothly and without worry. Thank you for making the experience the best it could be.

I had severe pain from an internal cavity that routed my tooth and severely needed an extraction. This was during quarantine, when almost all medical and dental practices were closed. Genesis was the only office I found that was open for emergency appointments. At that point, I really did not care if the oral surgeon was experienced, knowledgeable or friendly. I just wanted that tooth out immediately. To my amazement, not only was Dr. Johnson experienced, he was also extremely friendly, very kind and took my pain into consideration. The offending tooth was quickly dispatched with no surgery needed, I felt relief immediately. He prescribed an oral antibiotic since I had an infection also. Two days later, he called to make sure I was healing well without complications. Thank you, Dr. Johnson! Without you, I would have been miserable for a very long time. You are a hero to me!
