Meet Columbia Board Certified Oral Surgeon , Dr. Antoine Johnson

Antoine G. Johnson, DDS, was born and raised in Nassau, The Bahamas. He obtained an Associate of Arts degree from The University of the Bahamas and a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

He then moved to Washington, D.C., where he completed his dental degree at Howard University in 2007, graduating at the top of his class and receiving multiple dental awards.

While at Howard, he developed a keen interest in medicine and surgery, going on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the prestigious Washington Hospital Center, in Washington, D.C., and serving as Chief Resident in 2010-2011. His residency program included training at Children’s National Medical Center, the Veterans Affairs Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Johnson has strong interests in the fields of Dental Implants, Bone Grafting, Orthognathic Surgery, Head and Neck Pathology/Reconstruction and Facial Trauma. He finds great joy and fulfillment in transforming lives by correcting oral and maxillofacial abnormalities. His consistent involvement in continuing education allows him to remain up to date on the newest and most efficient advancements in modern oral surgery.

He is a board certified Oral Surgeon, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and the American Dental Association.

Locally, he is a member of the Maryland State Dental Association and the Howard County Dental Society. He currently serves on staff at Howard County General Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

In his spare time he enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
